Pest Control & Grading

GTI's Pest Control Officers are registered under ACT 36 of 1947 as PCO’s (Pest Control Officers) and are specialists in their field of expertise and have successfully completed the following courses approved by ACT 36:

• Application of contact insecticides.
• Bag- and Bulk fumigation (Phosphine).
• Bag- and Bulk fumigation (Methyl Bromide).
• Fumigation of Agricultural Products utilizing the closed circulation system.
• Structure Fumigation
• Weed control
• Rodent Control

GTI's Pest Control Officers are trained in all aspects pertaining to the implementation of:

• Fumigation in accordance with the SABS fumigation codes.
• Occupation, Safety- and Hazardous Act (OSH Act no 85 of 1993).
• Act 36 of 1947.
• Rodent Control
• Hygiene Inspections

GTI’s personnel are qualified in the grading / assessment / moderating of the following products:

• Maize
• Sorghum
• Soya Beans
• Sunflower
• Wheat
• Dry Beans
• Ground Nuts
• Barley
